Welcome to Raven Sky Consulting!

I am an accessibility professional with more than a decade of experience working to advance disability inclusion beyond compliance through education, allyship and the integration of proactive accessible practices.

 

My work is centered in the social model of disability and the principles of Universal Design. I am passionate about helping people discover their "why" for embracing this work, and then providing them with the tools and resources to impact change.

Identify Current Culture
and Practices

*Work with team members to explore disability awareness and culture, including bias, stigma and stereotypes.

*Review and evaluate communications, programs and services for accessibility and disability inclusion. 

*Identify topic areas for foundational knowledge and skills development.

*Provide recommendations for improvement through customized training, workshops and coaching. 

Integrate Accessible
and Inclusive Practices

*Facilitate virtual and in-person trainings and guided learning experiences. Topics may include: 

  • disability awareness and culture

  • allyship and advocacy

  • creating accessible documents and communications

  • using inclusive and plain language

  • hosting accessible and inclusive meetings and events

*Work with team members to integrate accessible practices into daily workflow. 

*Provide resources to support independent practice.

Change Systems to Sustain Access and Inclusion

*Review and evaluate policies and procedures for accessibility and disability inclusion. 

*Consult with leadership to identify challenges and opportunities for systemic change. 

*Work with leadership to update policies and procedures to reflect inclusive language and accessible practices.

*Develop strategy to integrate the social model of disability and Universal Design into workforce development and organizational culture.
